| Description: | In 2021, Nephi is back in the racing saddle hosting simultaneous regional (region 9) and 18 meter national racing during usually the best two weeks of the western USA soaring season. Come experience the thrill of flying in both the Utah mountains and the Great Basin's thermal heavens. Regional 9 contest entries are limited to 25 gliders and the 18 meter nationals will be limited to 40 gliders. As always with Nephi events, this is a PowerFlarm mandatory event per approved waiver. New for this year, we are also making a satellite tracker to be used mandatory with each entry. After the region 9 contest is over, contestants are encouraged to stay and continue OLC flying through July 8 when the Nationals ends. You get the best of both worlds - glider sports class racing and then OLC flying at this regional event | |
